Volvo Laval, a member of the Taddeo Auto Group and a key player in the automotive industry in Quebec, is seeking a Sales Director – Used Vehicles to lead and develop our used vehicle business. Part of a growing family-owned group, you will guide a passionate team and help maintain our reputation for excellence in service and customer relations.
Main Responsibilities
- Define and achieve sales and margin objectives for the Used Vehicles sector; develop and implement a multi-channel commercial strategy (showroom, web, digital marketing) tailored to the local market.
- Lead, coach, and motivate the sales team, set individual goals, monitor performance, and foster a culture of service and results.
- Optimize inventory, pricing, and promotions in collaboration with the supply and finance departments to maximize turnover and profitability.
- Oversee the entire sales process (qualification, demonstration, negotiation, financing, and delivery) and ensure an exceptional customer experience.
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients, financial partners, and sources of supply, while ensuring after-sales follow-up and cross-selling opportunities.
- Work closely with the Service and Parts departments to improve customer satisfaction and loyalty, and support cross-functional sales objectives.
- Manage the department’s budget and key performance indicators (sales volume, conversion rate, gross margin, average sales time, customer satisfaction, etc.).
- Monitor the market and trends in used vehicles, adjust offers and tactics to stay competitive in Laval and nearby areas.
- Regularly present performance reports and forecasts to management and contribute to Taddeo Auto Group’s strategic planning.
Profile Sought
- Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in used vehicle sales, with experience in team management and achieving measurable results.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills; customer-oriented with the ability to inspire and develop talents.
- Fluency in French and operational knowledge of English; familiarity with CRM tools and automotive financing and warranty processes.
- Analytical mind, results-oriented, excellent organization, and the ability to make quick decisions in a competitive environment.
- Knowledge of the Quebec automotive market and trends related to used vehicles; relevant education (college diploma or bachelor’s in administration, marketing, or equivalent) or equivalent experience.
- Ability to work as part of a team and promote a culture of collaboration and operational excellence.
